Employment Type: 12 months Temporary Full Time

Annual Salary Range: Exempt Band 2, MIN $78,000.00 - MED $91,500.00 - MAX $105,000.00

Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In addition, our pay philosophy is to align with the median of the comparable market and to be considerate of internal equity comparisons.

What you'll be doing...

Please note that this is a 12-month fulltime temporary opportunity. 

 

Our Manager, Asset Accounting is seeking an accounting professional to play a key role in the full cycle asset accounting function of their team. This person will assist the Senior Accountant, Asset Management with capital related reporting and forecasting, helping to develop and maintaining complex financial models to meet debt-servicing needs. They will also be a key support to other departments, by providing accounting guidance, analysis and information.

What you'll bring to the table...

We love lifelong Learners and recommend the following mix of education or certifications to be successful in conjunction with relevant experience:

  • Post secondary degree in business, finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation, or working towards one.
  • Three (3) years related experience. 
  • Good understanding of technical accounting standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and financial systems. Experience with analytical tools is an asset.
  • Exposure to advanced financial modelling in Excel. Knowledge of data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven ability to solve problems independently.
