Employment Type: Regular Full Time
Annual Salary Range: Exempt Band 4, MIN $90,800.00 - MED $106,900.00 - MAX $122,900.00
Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In addition, our pay philosophy is to align with the median of the comparable market and to be considerate of internal equity comparisons.

What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Security and Emergency Management, the Corporate Investigator is responsible for conducting investigations into accidents, incidents, insurance
claims, and alleged offences or misconduct involving BC Transit personnel or property. Investigations are carried out in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, and organizational policies. The Corporate Investigator serves as the point of contact for all securityrelated incidents across the province, and actively builds and maintains relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and operating partners to support the safety and security of BC Transit’s provincial transit system.

What you'll bring to the table...
We value lifelong learners and have found the following combination of education and experience allows people to be successful in this role:
- Experience in compliance, enforcement or law enforcement roles, preferably with investigative experience within a government agency
- Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) from ASIS International is an asset.
- Experience managing multiple investigations under high workloads, ideally within the transit industry; familiarity with unionized environments is an asset
- Knowledge of case file management, litigation processes, and serving as a court witness on safety and security matters. collaborative working relationships.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) principles, as well as relevant Criminal Code and Charter of Rights legislation in BC
